Coming up with the next big thing in eCommerce, it sort of is but not quite run-of-the-mill

Been toying around with an idea for an e commerce site for quite a while now. I think i'm just about ready to look for people/developers to start working on the site soon...maybe sometime early Feb, with just a few minor details left to iron out. But I'm always open to new technology to advance the cause. Thanks to Posterous' minimalistic approach/interface to blogging I think I've hit on a key implementation that I would need in order for my site to work.

Most of the general idea behind the interface stuff is done, but I can't seem to decide on the CMS I'll be going with. The obvious choice should be something like Magento but having no first hand experience I don't know how easy it is to use, more specifically for my purposes how easy it is to teach someone else to use it. There's a way around that of course, but I'm trying to reconcile that workaround with the general interface of the site. That and integration with a lot of existing technologies would be key in getting a good solid following come launch of the site.
